If your character isn't attacking, make sure he or she isn't on block mode by checking in the lower right corner (where you tell ppl to stealth etc.)it's up to you, even having the 2x slot makes something like bugmaster a lot easier since you can slot in free hits (the extra attacks going into the slot are unblockable). but then on the flip side his hoard of spiders can be more dangerous to a team mate that can actually take out bugmaster. x3 attack slot is great. 5x all the way~~~.With 5x attack slots and solo, you are going to get stun locked a lot and in general take far more damage if you fight groups of enermies. If the enermy has archers (reavers, dust bandits) this will even be worse as you cannot block arrows. Some heavy armor will help here, but heavy armor has MA penalties.
